E-commerce and Made-to-Measure became almost synonyms over the past years, and this will obviously be the evolution path for the online business in high-end garments.
At both ends of the process we can find valuable software tools to help automatize the process: the websites benefit from the latest design and user-interaction gadgets, while, in the area of garments design, there are powerful CAD tools, to develop the Made-to-Measure products.
There is, however, a huge gap between the moment a new product is ready, in the CAD office, and the one it can actually be published on a web page. This gap means that information about design options, logical conditions and explicative graphic content, the list of dimensional or preference inputs expected from the end user and other topics must manually be transmitted by the CAD designer to the WEB programmer, who must then transform it into an interactive web page. This process is time-consuming and expensive.
