The new version brings to the users many new features and enhancements, keeping GeminiCAD software as a leader in supplying the best technology in 2008 too.
Among the most important updates are:
- New grading system, accepting drop and configuration grading, automatic size-set generator, continuous index size generator, etc
- Automatic Photo-Digitizing software module, capable to digitize at high speed and accuracy the pattern contours and internal elements, with export in native format of Gerber, Lectra, Investronica and Assyst.
- New design functions like: piece bar menu, magnetic path drawing, size by size shape modification, multiple bulge, close folded dart, French curves, create multiple internal points on path, on piece dimensions display, etc.
- Compatibility with Investronica database, by connecting directly to the investronica pattern database server.
- Compatibility with DigiPen digitizing device.
- Compatibility with Gammatech plotters directly from Gemini Plotter Spooler without using the original plotter software.
- New interface for Cut Plan, with more space for the spreading table.

This solution dramatically reduces the time to digitize the patterns, offering a full automated procedure for this. The typical time to process a complete style with 10 different patterns is about 8 seconds. The system can recognize and transform into vectorial CAD data the piece contour, internal lines, notches, internal points. The acquired data can also be exported into Gerber, Lectra, Assyst and Investronica native format, as well as in standard DXF AAMA format.

Even though just one year has passed from our debut on Turkey's market, Gemini has become one of the top players in the field. Between the 23rd and the 27th of may Gemini participated at the Tuyap Clothing Machinery Exhibition 2007, presenting the whole range of software products and the new inkjet and pen plotters and digitizers. Gemini CAD launched in February 2007 the Remote Assistance Service. Each user can now request assistance from a remote Gemini office by a simple mouse click. The Gemini technician can connect directly to the customer's computer and work directly to the screen of this comptuer, solving any problem in real time.

Gemini CAD software package is prepaired now more than ever to comunicate with other systems. Conversion filters were included in the standard configuration to allow the patterns and markers import from Investronica, Lectra, Gerber and Assyst. This will help Gemini users to receive patterns, styles and markers directly from their partners who use one of the above CAD systems. This option is also very important for Investronica, Lectra, Gerber and Assyst users, who can now use the automatic marking module Gemini Nest Expert, which is perfectly compatible with all these applications.

Gemini CAD Systems attended the Bucharest 2007 BITME exhibition, between the 14th and the 17th of March. We presented the whole range GeminiCAD software products, pen and ink jet plotters, digitizing tables. This event also hosted the launch of GeminiCAD 3D Simulator. Also, our partners from Orox were there, presenting their automatic cutting machines. During the entire fair the exhibited equipments had discounted prices. In the May 2006 edition of the prestigious magazine "Dialog Textil" there was an comprehensive article regarding textile equipments and the CAD-CAM systems market in Romania. Gemini CAD Systems anounces the opening of the Istanbul representative, the first step on the Turkey CAD market. The Istanbul team has 5 very well prepaired members, experienced in CAD systems. The office is located in the Merter area, center of the textile industry in Turkey. "Gemini Tailoring Assistant", the new design module created by Gemini CAD Systems was presented for the firt time in public at the National Textile Industry Specialists Conference on the 20th of October 2005 in Iasi. Tailoring Assistant brings in a totaly new approach to computerized design, based upon the traditional geometrical design. Using this method, Gemini clients have two extremly usefull features: completly automated grading and "made to measure" functionality

Starting with April 2005 the new FlexiPen 165 plotters will be available. This plotter model will complete the existing range of plotters(FlexiPen 120 and Flexijet 180). The maximum working width of this model is of 162 cm, insuring a 1:1 scale printing without band dividing the markers up to this width. Compared to the inkjet FlexiJet 160 plotter, this pen plotter has the following advantages: very low exploting costs, the only consumable being the regular pen mine; 40 % lower price; lower noise level. Regarding the printing speed, it is faster with medium-large parts markers, but slower with low parts markers, many details and a lot of text.
